Nature
Colorless transparent smoky liquid with pungent odor. Melting point -112ºC. Boiling point 50.9 ° C (lOOkPa). The relative density is 1.1051. Refractive index 1.3890. Flash point 4 ° C. It is miscible with ethyl ether, acetic acid and benzene, reacts violently with water and alcohol, and decomposes into hydrogen chloride.
Use
It is a raw material for pesticides and medicine, and an intermediate for the manufacture of water treatment agent ethylene diphosphate, and is also used in the manufacture of new electroplating complexing agents.
Security
This product strongly irritates the eyes, skin and mucous membranes, resulting in severe burns. The workshop should have good ventilation and the equipment should be airtight. Operators should wear protective clothing, glasses and rubber gloves.
