In the presence of catalyst and inhibitor, acrylic acid and ethylene oxide were added to produce 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate crude product, which was degassed and distilled.
use
Used as a monomer in the preparation of thermosetting coatings. In terms of adhesive, copolymerization with vinyl monomer can improve its bonding strength. In paper processing, it is used to make acrylic emulsion for coating, which can improve its water resistance and strength.
