N, N, N', N' -tetramethylethylenediamine is a colorless transparent liquid with a slight ammonia odor. It is miscible with water and can be miscible in most organic solvents such as ethanol. It is an important organic intermediate, mainly used as a biochemical reagent, epoxy resin crosslinking agent and synthesis intermediate of quaternary amine compounds. Chemical properties Colorless transparent liquid. It can be miscible with water, alcohol and other organic solvents. It is used as a polar aprotic solvent, and is also used to prepare biochemical reagents and water treatment agents for organic reagents such as alkenyl alkynides, as raw materials for quaternary ammonium salts intermediates. Used in biochemical research, organic synthesis, crosslinked polymerization catalyst. Catalysts in the production of polyurethane foams. Chemicalbook is used as biochemical reagent, epoxy resin crosslinking agent, and quaternary amine compound intermediate for the preparation of polyacrylamide gel. TEMED is a tertiary amine group used to catalyze the formation of free radicals from ammonium persulfate or riboflavin. The free radical will cause the polymerization of acrylamide and N,N' -methylene bisacrylamide to form a gel matrix that can be used to screen large molecules.
