Nature
Colorless liquid. Soluble in common organic solvents, miscible with water. Relative density 1.10 98. Melting point -70ºC. Boiling point 74 ~ 75ºC(667 Pa). Flash point (open cup) 104ºC. Refractive index 1.4469. Viscosity 5.34mPa.s (25ºC).
Use
Used as a monomer in the preparation of thermosetting coatings. In terms of adhesive, copolymerization with vinyl monomer can improve its bonding strength. In paper processing, it is used to make acrylic emulsion for coating, which can improve its water resistance and strength.
