Properties:
white or yellow crystalline powder or small crystals, with a strong S02 odor, specific gravity 1.4, soluble in water, aqueous solution is acidic, and contact with strong acid releases SO2 and generates the corresponding salts, long in the air, it is oxidized into Na2S206, so the product can not last long. Above 1500C, the decomposition of S02.
Uses:
Industrial applications for mineral processing agent, reducing agent, printing and dyeing, organic synthesis, printing, leather, pharmaceutical, mineral processing and other departments;
Pharmaceutical industry for the production of chloroform, phenylpropanone and benzaldehyde purification;
Rubber industry used as a coagulant; Printing and dyeing industry used as dechlorination agent after cotton bleaching, cotton cooking auxiliary and dyeing mordant;
Leather industry for leather processing, can make leather soft, full, tough, waterproof, anti-folding, wear and other properties;
Chemical industry for the production of hydroxyvanillin, hydroxyamine hydrochloride, etc.;
